"D-Day" - Today was the day I need to decide go or no go for the Bear.  I figured if I can run 3 miles without pain I can run 100.  Seems simple enough.  The verdict was that my leg is getting much better.  I can tell it is still not 100% but it seems like I can run on it for a while.  Now 100 miles is obviously a lot longer than my short test, but I am going for it.  I have 1 more week to let it rest/heal.

Glad to hear it's a go! Sounds like you've put a lot of thought towards your decision, and nobody knows what your leg's telling you better than you. Good luck!

Best of luck. Have fun.

"I figured if I can run 3 miles without pain I can run 100"

I can't help but smile at that. You're going to be in pain after mile 50 or so no matter what, right? :-)

Good luck Cody. Hopefully a little more rest gets that leg ready to go for Bear.

Absolutely the right call. Even if it acts up and you wind up dropping, by giving it a shot at least you'll know. I'm betting that a week's worth of babying will have you and your leg ready to go. Not like you'll be sprinting from the start, so plenty of time to loosen up and ease into it. Good choice!

I sure did see that. No problem, he is still tired from winning Hardrock. Think he will sign my shoes?

Is the radio silence this week taper? I pray everything comes together for you tomorrow.
